This restaurant is the brainchild of Obi, a local son whose deep awareness and care for his homeland led him to recognize a unique need. Having long observed the steady flow of travelers—both international and domestic—on their way to Wae Rebo, he noticed something missing: the difficulty of finding Italian food, a cuisine much loved by many international tourists.
With experience and a passion for enriching the travel experience in Flores, Obi founded Romana Restaurant as more than just a place to eat—it is a haven where travelers can rest and recharge before continuing their journey to the village above the clouds.
Romana offers authentic Italian pizza and pasta made from high-quality ingredients and carefully guarded recipes. Warm, tender, and bursting with flavor—our signature dishes bring a taste of Europe to the heart of Indonesia’s natural beauty.
We also understand that not everyone wants to be far from the flavors of home. That’s why Romana also serves Indonesian-style nasi goreng, simple yet rich in taste.
Looking for other Indonesian dishes such as fried chicken, stir-fried vegetables, or sambal terasi? Absolutely! Simply make a reservation at least 3 days in advance, and we will prepare a custom menu to suit your preference.
