8 Days 7 Nights: Flores – Wae Rebo – Labuan Bajo Adventure

Kelimutu Lakes

Our journey begins in the quiet coastal town of Ende, on the southern shore of Flores Island. Upon arrival at the airport, our team will greet you and take you for a welcome lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, we’ll set out on a scenic drive, stopping first at the Suspension Bridge, a perfect photo stop surrounded by nature. The next highlight is Wologai Traditional Village, where ancient Lio architecture and cultural heritage still live on. As the day winds down, we head toward the cool village of Moni, nestled at the foot of Mount Kelimutu, for a peaceful night at a local homestay.

Day two starts early—around 4:00 AM—as we make our way up to the mystical Kelimutu Crater Lakes to catch the sunrise over its legendary three-colored lakes. It's a surreal and spiritual moment you won’t forget. After soaking in the views, we return to the homestay for breakfast, then begin our journey north toward Riung. On the way, we stop at Wolopaku Village to witness the traditional coffee-making process. Lunch will be served at Batu Biru in Ende before continuing the long but scenic drive. By evening, we arrive in Riung for an overnight stay.

On the third day, we explore the pristine waters of 17 Islands Marine Park (Taman Laut 17 Pulau). Our island-hopping adventure by boat includes a stop at Kalong Island, where thousands of bats rest in the mangrove trees, followed by snorkeling and relaxing at Pulau Tiga, Pulau Rutang, and Pulau Bakau. A picnic lunch will be served during the excursion. In the late afternoon, we return to the hotel for rest and dinner.

Day four takes us to the highlands of Bajawa, with a relaxing stop at the Soa Hot Springs—a perfect natural spa. After lunch in town, we check in at the hotel and then visit the iconic Bena Traditional Village in the late afternoon, home to megalithic stone altars and traditional Ngada houses. We spend the night in Bajawa, surrounded by cool mountain air.

On day five, we set out on a cross-island journey. From Bajawa, we head west toward the ancient village of Denge. Along the way, we stop at a local arak (traditional liquor) distillery, visit the serene Lake Ranamese, and enjoy lunch in Ruteng. Before reaching Denge, we make a final scenic stop at Spider Web Rice Fields (Lingko Cancar), an amazing example of ancient Manggarai farming techniques. We spend the night in a homestay in Dintor or Denge, ready for the next day’s adventure.

Day six is the highlight for many—the trek to Wae Rebo Village. Starting early in the morning, we hike 3–4 hours through lush mountain forests to reach this isolated village in the clouds. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed in a traditional ceremony at the main house (Mbaru Niang). You’ll have time to explore the village, interact with locals, take photos, and enjoy lunch in the heart of this UNESCO-recognized cultural treasure. After descending back to Denge, we drive to Labuan Bajo, arriving late in the evening for hotel check-in and rest.

The seventh day is a full-day sea adventure by

speedboat to some of Komodo National Park’s most stunning destinations. First, we visit Rinca Island, home to the famous Komodo dragons. Then we hike to the top of Padar Island for a breathtaking panoramic view. Afterward, we swim and snorkel at the dreamy Pink Beach and relax at the beautiful Kanawa Island. Lunch will be served on the boat. By sunset, we return to Labuan Bajo for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

On the final day, we make a short visit to Batu Cermin Cave, a unique geological site with natural mirror-like reflections inside the cave walls. Finally, we transfer you to Komodo Airport for your departure flight—bringing home not just souvenirs, but unforgettable memories of Flores and its unmatched natural and cultural beauty.
