Sailing to Paradise: 4 Days in Labuan Bajo

 


Day 1 – Arrival in Labuan Bajo & Batu Cermin Cave

Upon arrival at Komodo Airport in Labuan Bajo, our friendly team will welcome you and assist with your luggage. After a brief introduction, you’ll be taken to enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, where you can savor authentic Indonesian cuisine. In the afternoon, we begin our journey with a visit to Batu Cermin Cave (Mirror Stone Cave), a fascinating natural limestone cave known for its reflective walls and unique geological formations. The cave is not only rich in history but also offers a glimpse into the ancient marine life that once inhabited this region. After exploring the cave, we’ll head to your hotel for check-in and some well-deserved rest. Dinner options for tonight are flexible — you can choose to dine in at the hotel or explore one of Labuan Bajo’s charming local restaurants at your leisure.

 

Day 2 – Komodo Adventure: Rinca Island & Kanawa Island Snorkeling

Start your morning with a hearty breakfast at the hotel before setting off on a full-day sea adventure.First stop is Rinca Island, one of the main islands within the Komodo National Park, where you'll go on a guided trek with local rangers in search of the legendary Komodo dragons, along with other wildlife such as wild boars, buffaloes, and exotic birds. After the trek, we cruise to Kanawa Island, a peaceful paradise known for its crystal-clear waters and vibrant coral reefs. 8 Days 7 Nights: Flores – Wae Rebo – Labuan Bajo Adventure

Our journey begins in the quiet coastal town of Ende, on the southern shore of Flores Island. Upon arrival at the airport, our team will greet you and take you for a welcome lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, we’ll set out on a scenic drive, stopping first at the Suspension Bridge, a perfect photo stop surrounded by nature. The next highlight is Wologai Traditional Village, where ancient Lio architecture and cultural heritage still live on. As the day winds down, we head toward the cool village of Moni, nestled at the foot of Mount Kelimutu, for a peaceful night at a local homestay.

Day two starts early—around 4:00 AM—as we make our way up to the mystical Kelimutu Crater Lakes to catch the sunrise over its legendary three-colored lakes. It's a surreal and spiritual moment you won’t forget. After soaking in the views, we return to the homestay for breakfast, then begin our journey north toward Riung. On the way, we stop at Wolopaku Village to witness the traditional coffee-making process. Lunch will be served at Batu Biru in Ende before continuing the long but scenic drive. By evening, we arrive in Riung for an overnight stay.


On the third day, we explore the pristine waters of 17 Islands Marine Park (Taman Laut 17 Pulau). Our island-hopping adventure by boat includes a stop at Kalong Island, where thousands of bats rest in the mangrove trees, followed by snorkeling and relaxing at Pulau Tiga, Pulau Rutang, and Pulau Bakau. A picnic lunch will be served during the excursion. In the late afternoon, we return to the hotel for rest and dinner.

Day four takes us to the highlands of Bajawa, with a relaxing stop at the Soa Hot Springs—a perfect natural spa. After lunch in town, we check in at the hotel and then visit the iconic Bena Traditional Village in the late afternoon, home to megalithic stone altars and traditional Ngada houses. We spend the night in Bajawa, surrounded by cool mountain air.

On day five, we set out on a cross-island journey. From Bajawa, we head west toward the ancient village of Denge. Along the way, we stop at a local arak (traditional liquor) distillery, visit the serene Lake Ranamese, and enjoy lunch in Ruteng. Before reaching Denge, we make a final scenic stop at Spider Web Rice Fields (Lingko Cancar), an amazing example of ancient Manggarai farming techniques. We spend the night in a homestay in Dintor or Denge, ready for the next day’s adventure.


Day six is the highlight for many—the trek to Wae Rebo Village. Starting early in the morning, we hike 3–4 hours through lush mountain forests to reach this isolated village in the clouds. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed in a traditional ceremony at the main house (Mbaru Niang). You’ll have time to explore the village, interact with locals, take photos, and enjoy lunch in the heart of this UNESCO-recognized cultural treasure. After descending back to Denge, we drive to Labuan Bajo, arriving late in the evening for hotel check-in and rest.

The seventh day is a full-day sea adventure by

speedboat to some of Komodo National Park’s most stunning destinations. First, we visit Rinca Island, home to the famous Komodo dragons. Then we hike to the top of Padar Island for a breathtaking panoramic view. Afterward, we swim and snorkel at the dreamy Pink Beach and relax at the beautiful Kanawa Island. Lunch will be served on the boat. By sunset, we return to Labuan Bajo for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

On the final day, we make a short visit to Batu Cermin Cave, a unique geological site with natural mirror-like reflections inside the cave walls. Day 1: Arrival & Boat Trip to Kelor Island and Kalong Island

Our adventure begins as you arrive at Komodo Airport, Labuan Bajo. After a warm welcome and introduction, we board a boat to Kelor Island, a small yet beautiful island with stunning ocean views. Enjoy a short hike, fresh air, and snorkeling in its crystal-clear waters. In the afternoon, the boat sails to Kalong Island, where we witness thousands of bats flying out of their caves at sunset — a magical scene found only here. Day 2: Rinca Island – Padar Island – Pink Beach Komodo


The second day starts with trekking on Rinca Island, home to the famous Komodo dragons. With an experienced guide, we’ll observe these giant lizards and other wildlife in their natural habitat. Day 6: Dintor – Trekking to Wae Rebo


Today we begin our trek to Wae Rebo, a traditional village nestled in the mountains, famous for its unique conical houses. In the afternoon, we can refresh at the village’s waterfall and natural showers. We overnight in a traditional house, enjoying the villagers' hospitality and the magical mountain atmosphere.


Day 7: Wae Rebo – Dintor – Spiderweb Fields Cancar – Ruteng


After returning to Dintor, we continue the journey to Spiderweb Rice Fields (Cancar) — a unique agricultural marvel. On the way, we stop for lunch and visit Liang Bua, a significant archaeological site where the remains of the ancient Homo floresiensis were discovered. We arrive in Ruteng by evening and check into a hotel for the night.


Day 8: Ruteng – Bajawa – Ranamese Lake – AiMere Beach

We head to Bajawa, passing by the beautiful Lake Ranamese and Ai Mere Beach. Along the way, we witness the traditional arak (local liquor)-making process, part of Bajawa’s cultural heritage. After lunch, we check into a hotel in Bajawa and enjoy a peaceful night in the mountains.

Day 9: Bajawa – Luba Bena Villages – Soa Hot Springs – Riung


We visit the traditional villages of Luba and Bena, rich in original Flores traditions and culture. Later, we unwind at Soa Hot Springs, a natural bath perfect for relaxing before heading to Riung. Overnight stay in a hotel in Riung, ready for island exploration the next day.



Day 10: 17 Islands of Riung – Snorkeling and Leisure


Today we explore the 17 Islands Marine Park around Riung. Islands like Kalon, Ruton, and Pulau Tiga boast exotic beaches and incredible snorkeling spots. We enjoy a beachside picnic lunch before heading back to the hotel to rest.


Day 11: Riung – Moni – Blue Stone Beach – Bung Karno Museum – Hanging Bridge

We continue to Moni, stopping at scenic sites including Blue Stone Beach, the Bung Karno Museum, and a picturesque hanging bridge. We also take time for photos at the lush green rice fields along the way. Upon arrival in Moni, we check into a hotel and have dinner together to recharge for the next day.

Day 12: Sunrise at Kelimutu – Wologai – Wolopaku – Return to Moni

Day 1: Arrival in Ende – Transfer to Moni

Your journey begins with pick-up at Ende Airport. After meeting our team, you’ll be taken through scenic mountain landscapes to the village of Moni, the gateway to the wonders of Kelimutu Lake. Check in and overnight at a hotel in Moni, enjoying the tranquil mountain atmosphere of Flores.

Day 2: Kelimutu – Nduri Market – Wologai – Blue Stone Beach – Riung

The day starts early with a sunrise visit to the legendary Kelimutu Lake, known for its three colorful crater lakes. After breakfast at the hotel, continue to Nduri Fruit Market and visit the traditional village of Wologai, rich in local architecture and cultural heritage. Enjoy lunch by the exotic Blue Stone Beach before continuing to the northern coastal area of Riung. Check-in and rest at your hotel.


Day 3: 17 Islands Marine Park – Soa Hot Springs – Bena Village – Bajawa

In the morning, explore the 17 Islands Marine Park in Riung, a hidden paradise with vibrant underwater life and untouched beaches. Enjoy snorkeling and island hopping activities. After lunch, head to Soa Hot Springs for relaxation. In the late afternoon, visit the traditional Bena Village, one of the best-preserved megalithic villages in Flores. Overnight in the cool town of Bajawa.


Day 4: Bajawa – Aimere – Rana Mese – Ruteng – Denge

After breakfast, visit Aimere, a center for traditional arak (local liquor) production. Then make a short stop at Lake Rana Mese before having lunch in Ruteng town. In the afternoon, visit the famous Spider Web Rice Fields in Cancar, a unique landscape only found in Flores. Continue the journey to Denge village, the starting point for visiting the traditional Wae Rebo village. Overnight at a local homestay.


Day 5: Wae Rebo Trekking – Labuan Bajo

Wae Rebo Village

Today marks the highlight of your cultural journey. After a light breakfast, begin the 3–4 hour trek to Wae Rebo Traditional Village. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed with a traditional ceremony and enjoy a local Wae Rebo-style lunch. In the afternoon, trek back down to Denge and continue the drive to Labuan Bajo. Check in at the hotel and rest.



Day 6: Full-Day Komodo Sailing – Pink Beach – Rinca

Your maritime adventure starts early from Labuan Bajo harbor. Enjoy a full-day boat trip exploring:

  • Komodo Island – see Komodo dragons in their natural habitat
  • Pink Beach – a stunning beach with unique pink sand
  • Rinca Island – trekking and nature exploration

Lunch will be served on board. In the afternoon, return to your hotel in Labuan Bajo for rest.


Day 7: Batu Cermin Cave – Transfer to Komodo Airport

On your final day, after breakfast and hotel check-out, visit Batu Cermin Cave, a karst cave with reflective stone walls that shine like mirrors. After the tour, our team will transfer you to Komodo Airport for your flight home or onward journey.
